Idle Contral

Hi Folks
Can someone tell me what size bolt the Idle contral screw is?

If it's the idle speed adjuster bolt on the rear of the throttle body of a fuel-injected engine, then it's a 7mm hex…

Is there a plastice cap or anything covering it as i do not seen to be able to move it

I've never heard of a plastic cover on these ones (only on the mixture screws on carbs), but you never know - try checking it with a mirror, it should be a brass nut.

If it isn't covered, but won't turn easily, it might be turned in all the way to the end of the threads (jammed), probably by someone who wanted the idle speed even lower, (but didn't realise that there was an air leak somewhere else in the intake/vacuum system, keeping the revs up)
