Help!!! Running issues
Hi, bought the misses a nice gti cab got it mot'd taxed and insured went for a drive down the road and went to change gear into second and it started to stutter didn't stall but just didn't want to go as if it wanted more fuel. I have checked the mixture and that's good as it passed it emissions test with ease ticks over nicely it revs really well checked the fuel filter in the tank and that's fine I have since changed the fuel filter by the metering head (made no difference)
Any help on this issue would be awesome.

have you checked the fuel pump. my golf was running fine until the weather was really hot and in the evenings, then it would just run really bad.
the fuel pump was noisy and one day the car wouldn't start, so replaced the fuel pump and now it is running fine.
hope this helps

Hi all sorted now the timing was slightly out, quick question though how long should a lift pump last as when I took mine out it's still the original one from when the car was made?
