Help Please urgent fuel tank thing needed

thats the best way to describe what i need, under the rear seats and under the inspection cover, the twist off bit with the electrical connection and the 2 fuel pipes,

anyone know what its called and where to get one from?
the person before me bodged it back on with some silicone as it was cracked.

it has an electrical connection on the top 2 hose type connections (solid ones) and on the underside (which goes in the fuel tank) it has what i can only describe as a ballcock (similar to what is in a toilets sistern) and a tube that doesnt attach to anything.

That's the fuel tank sender unit and pickup pipe. Is your's a GTi?

nope a 91 cabby 1.8 carb

I think you can use one from a carb mk2 Scirocco, which seem to widely available in scrapyards.

Fuel tank sender unit /pickup - a '91 Cabby will have the Scirocco type fitting as standard.

I know this for sure as yesterday while trying to remove the said part from my '89 Cabby I managed to snap it in two!
I went straight to Continental Parts, (small VW/Audi specialist in York) and was told that the later body types had the Scirocco fitting as standard. They also told me that I would need to make a trip to the Main Stealer or try and pick one up 2nd hand.      

I supper-glued mine back together as a temporary fix - but will be looking to pick one up 2nd hand soon as I can.
