GTI Supply Fuel Pipe Replacement

Has any one replaced the rigid supply and return pipes on the GTI?
Is it possible without a 4 post lift?
I know they can be replaced with flexible ones but in the name of originality I'd like to stick to the rigid ones.

its hard but can be done on your back, the more space underneath the better the job.
