Fuel Starvation on a MK1 Convertible
My car holds back or cuts out when under load, I've renewed the fuel filler neck, plugs, leads, dizzy cap, no rust appears to be coming through the fuel lines, carb is clean, valve in the air box appears to be working, manual choke fitted and the car has no mods.
Any ideas?? Pleeeeeeease?

I've replaced the fuel filter but not done the other stuff, how can I check the fuel flow or carb float position, is it simple or should I buy a Haynes manual?!
Thanks

Ha Ha I can Laugh!
I HAD exactly the same problem for months, but i think i have eliminated it now eventually. Try changing or removing the reservior, (i Bypassed it, till i can get another) car goes like a stonker now! also try looking at the fuel sender pickup under the back seat, might be clogged. PM me if you need more info, there isnt much i havent done/changed to rectify the problem. What Carb are you running?
hope this helps
