fuel related problem?

had a problem re-occur a couple of times now.  Going round a bigish roundabout, as i accelerated out of it, the car stuttered and held back. Not sure what exactly caused this, i backed off instantanly, but engine revved freely and pulled as normal as soon as i was back on a straight.  Any ideas, it felt like a fuel related problem, but has only happened when cornering?! oh and its an 83 gti with 16v engine conversion.  cheers in advance.  Ben.

Put some more petrol in it. When < 1/4 full they all do it.

ah right?! yeah i thought this at first but dismissed it! good to know, cheers mate...
