fuel pump problem..leaking

right i replaced the fuel lines on my mk1 gti today and after finishing the job the fuel pump is leaking the end bolt is pretty rusty and prob rotton, does anyone know where i can get this part from.. also after the fuel pumper hanger.. etc cos mines broken..

I'm sure VW will have those 'end cap' type bolts in stock, did you replace the copper washer though? didn't first time round on mine and it leaked all over the place

as for the fuel pump hanger, do you mean the bracket/casing with foam that the fuel pump sits in?

unfortuanately they're obsolete and pretty hard to come across (and new old stock sell for silly money when they pop up on ebay), maybe crazyquiff has a good one kicking about  :dontknow:

the thing is i did'nt even touch the fuel pump.. did'nt take the end bits off for the cooper washer's to be disturbed so car'nt understand, wil get it on a ramp later and remove the pump and bracket see what i can do or whats broken.. cheers
