fuel pressure

what controls the fuel pressure on starting up, is it mainley the accumulater ?

The accumalator holds pressure in the system, but I do know from testing the electrical supply to my pump last night, that on turning on the ignition(without cranking the engine over) the pump is given two short bursts of electric ,which probably primes the system back to pressure.

thats intresting ? as mine has no pressure when i try to start it, will check for the pulses.

Know what you mean - took me ages to get round to reading it but explains a lot of things. Easier to take in if you print it off. Also got a pdf somewhere of a Bosch service manaul for K-jet, pm me your email address if you're interested.
