Fuel line positioning please help

Just replaced fuel lines on my rebuild but its a long time ago since i stripped them. when they turn up though the oval hole into the engine bay i assume they go behind the steering rack, into a metal clip and tight to the bulkhead, is this correct.

Alternatively does it go through the hole, in front of the steering rack and up the chassis leg
