Filler pipe...
after reading this it seems a bit vague.
1. should i maybe jack up the back end so i dont get covered in fuel?
2. it says remove the rusted one….do i just grabbed it and yank/force it out?
3. do i need to treat the body work aroung the filler cap with anything in particular?
Thanks.

Yes, jack up the rear off-side, take off the wheel and wang and axle stand in there. Remove a bolt that connects the pipe to the inner arch, remove the three screws in the shell that keep the filler pipe attached to the car body, and loosen off the rubber hose that connects the pipe to the tank.
If the body's coroded around the filler pipe hole, you'll need to treat this however you see fit given the condition. Search in the forums for "rust" and you'll find some good guides. Here's one i just found:

There's a pictorial guide (in french) for the filler pipe job, stick it through google translate if you want to read the guide, it does an ok job…

Is your's a tintop or a cabby? If it's a tintop, you've got no problems as replacements are cheap enough from crazyquiff of gsf, but a cabby one will cost you ???. Most people buy the tintop filler pipe and modify it (it's a bit too short, basically)
Hope this helps

Plus, they are only ?10 or so at Halfords so there really is no excuse to risk your (and your car's) safety!
