exhaust removal

hi,i need to take the complete ststem off my 1991 1.8 clipper,do i need any special tools,and is it possible to do job on axle stands/ramps? :dontknow:

Quite easy with basic tools [work safely] . If you are scrapping the old system i would cut it off with hacksaw etc for speed and ease . Joints are always siezed

Think 1.8 Clipper will have the infamous C-clips holding the front pipe to the fanimold. They come off easily with a big lever but you need wedges or a tool to prise them open to refit. Can be made with U-shaped exhaust clamps.

Also rear needs to be quite high to get rear box over axle.
