Exhaust Problem help!

ive got a hole in my exhaust and just found out they no longer make replacement stock exhausts for a 1983 formul E golf so whats the best way of fixing this before my exhaust falls off?

you can patch it..........but i would be tempted to junk the lot and put a standard 1.6 gti system on it! (the round back box version as opposed to the 1.8 oval box) you can get a bosal or leistritz version of those (oe spec) from gsf and ecp etc, you would just need a bore reducer for the fron pipe where it joins the down pipe, which is nothing to make for a decent garage or exhaust fitter

Which exhaust section is the hole in?

i got all of it if you want it you can collect in reasonable nick only hole is where i grinded it to get it off which is the part which connects the mid to rear sections

i only need the centre section. the bit with the corragated pipe.

Eurocarparts still list the corrugated pipe @?20, would think GSF also still do it.

Forgeman where are you located? what do you want for it?

im in suffolk dont mind was jus gonna scrap it but if u got ne spare parts polo or golf let me know

found out that is not a hole the bracket went so just need one of them. cheers for the help much appreciated.
