Exhaust Mesh Leak

Just some general advice needed (it's for a F**d but I hope nobody objects!)

What is the easiest way to fix a leak in the exhaust between the flexible mesh part and ordinary pipe? My mate's F*cus has gone completely - you can slide the whole mesh part around the pipe which it's supposed to seal with.

Can you use that exhaust tape stuff, or will it need welding up? Or even replacing?

you could tell him to weld it back on but the best method is to replace it .

Its a Ford and bits are very cheap

You mean the whole car? Yer that's definitely a good idea  - I'll tell him to get a Mk1

No thanks for the advice Chudd - I'll advise him to get the manifold replaced…
