Exhaust
According to my MOT tester my exhaust is hot, idea is to replace it, looking to you good people for some assistance in which one to get and where from……. :cry:
mk1 cabriolet GL 1.8 1985, like I said if anybody can help in advising of removal/refitting (this is my first exhaust) and any systems that will fit my car

Do you mean 'hot' or 'shot' :dontknow:
Its got burnt petrol gases at @500 degrees C going down it so it will get a bit warm…..
Unless you have facilities to get the car quite high off the ground and enjoy grappling with seized nuts and/or VWs C-clip joke I'd leave it to an exhaust fitter.
Also a '85 GL will be a 1.6 carb motor, a 1.8 a DX injection, make sure you know what you are starting with before paying for any parts.
