Changing th efuel pump

Going to be changing my not working fguel pump on my gti tomorrow.

Is there anything, apart from not blowing myself up, that i should be wary of.

advice much appreciated.

Soak all the old connections tonight with WD40 to aid removal , disconnect the battery . Take some pictures in case you forget how it fitted later . If the tank is full empty it .

I did mine quite recently and the one word of advice i'd give is to take a little extra care over undoing the unions and use the correct size spanners, cheap adjustables are terrible and spell disaster.
