Are 1.1 exhausts the same as GTI exhausts?

As above really. My exhaust is blowing like a good'un so im looking to get a new one. I just wondered if GTI exhausts are compatible with the 1.1/1.3 etc etc.

Is there a difference in the diameter of the downpipes? The shape shouldnt be any different but its weather its going to connect to the downpipe in the first place.

The sections that make up the system have their joints in different places, hence they are not inter-changeable.

They are different sizes too, but reducer pipes would sort that out.

Ah ok, thanks for the info. Im only looking for a standard system so I guess i'll just have to look harder.
