Anyone had any problems with gsf fuel tanks

Getting a pattern fuel tank from gsf on monday. A mate said he got one for a mk2 or a beetle once and they had painted the inside, and the petrol stripped the paint off and got sucked through line and pump, and generally ballsed thing up.

Anyone had this happen before>????

Ive had one on my golf for 3 years and have done 10000 Miles with no issues at all

I think the one on my GTI was from GSF originally (got it from Crazyquiff).

The only problem I have is when filling it up fuel tends to spurt out of the filler neck when the tank gets full. I believe it's something to do with a flap on the entrance of the tank, but I'm not sure.

It's not a problem as long as you're expecting it

hi, put one on my cabby a couple of months ago. no problems and came with flap

sweet going to get it in the morn so hopefully wont have any probs
