A Sunday night problem!!

Can anyone tell me where the hose that runs out of the vacuum unit goes to. I have found it dangling behind the block today and it only has a length of about 12-14" so it must connect fairly close to the distributor.

The engine is a 1984 DX, 1800 injection.

If you have an MFA it should connect to the back of the instrument cluster if I'm not mistaken.

Having posted, I have had a poke around at the back of the engine and have found an outlet from the throttle valve housing. the pipe fits on perfectly and is bent to the right angle.

Would this be right?

Sure does go to back of throttle body, it's a vacuum advance pipe.

Thanks for that, it must have come off when I jetted the engine clean of an oil leak that occurred over the weekend!  ops:


Just the oil leak to sort, warm up regulator and poor running then!!
