wiring problem

hi i have a mk1 golf 1983 y plate 1.8inj

the problems i have are

my fuel pump is not switching on when i turn on the ignition i have changed the relay the fuel pump works when i bypass the relay.

the other problem i have is i have no spark but i have power at the coil i have changed plugs,leads,rotor arm and the cap but still no joy.

any advice or help will be very welcome  :dontknow:

fuel pump relay takes a signal from the coil so no spark no pump

you need to find out why you have no spark first then the pump should work :wink:


try the amp located in the passenger side scuttle that could be faulty gsf sell them i think
