windscreen washer motor??!

hey… right the thing is:

just failed the mot on 2things horn(now fixed,changed fuse)! 'windscreen washer provides insufficient washer liquid'
all i have is total silent & no water.. would it be easier to change the whole unit.. since the last owner blocked one hose with a bolt!
or ami talking rubbish…
any ideas.. many thinks..
ps.. i have 1.5gl 4door if any use !

Might be worth giving it a clean. The impeller is probably just gunked up mate.

cheers tried that.. changed all fuses.. just the whole unit lifeless no noise at all …
have tested a few things, does have a bad earth.. can't see that being the problem.. thinking the whole unit? !

take the plastic ign lock surround off, and look at the side of the wiper stalk as you pull it back to activate the washers.  You should be able to spot an electrical connection that is made when the stalk is pulled, check this hasnt bent out of shape or is all crudded up.  I had the same on my cabby, i buffed up the connection and bent it a little and all fixed :)

all in working order now all down to a faulty stalk, replaced and problem fixed..
job done..
