hi guys just after some info
trying to get some dash bits working after engine conversion
i have no oil light ?? so what i wanted to do was use the vdo gauges i have oil pressure and oil temp
my pressure gauge is a 5bar one what can i run the signal wire from the gauge straight to the sender does it need to go via the fuse box??
also my dash oil light any ideas what colour wire it is that controls this cars an 88gti cabrio

What engine conversion (from what to what)? Who did it?
The VDO oil guages have senders you need these and wire them directly to the guages, +12v from one of ignition live connectors on the fusebox or from radio etc. Should be fused via an inline jobbie.
The oil pressure system; why not just use the existing switches from the old engine and connect to loom as per the orginal :dontknow:
