Uprating Altinator

I have a 1.8 gti K-jet. The altinator i have is a 55A altinator, i was wondering what everyone else was running?

Would it be ok to run one with a higher Amp rating?

Just get a 90A one. Mine came off a 1.8 Passat.

Yep. Looks just like a 65A one, but fatter. It only gives out 90A when the car needs 90A. You might find the voltage is a bit more stable when you've got everything switched on. Apart from that, you shouldn't notice any changes.
