Twin lights on GTis

Daft question, perhaps….

The inner lights on GTis (the ones in the grille)… are they supposed to come on with the headlamps (dip and main beam)? Cos they do on mine. I'm MOTing it this week so could someone please confirm. I'm half tempted to take the bulbs out (they're just for decoration, mate :wink: )

Some inner lights on the GTI's were actually fog lights and not spot lights so that might be why yours come on all the time. Easiest way to check would be to turn the front fog switch off and then try dip and main beam. My gut feeling is they are wired to the fog light switch, and so are probs fog lights. :wink:

If they're spotlights then they are only supposed to come on with the main beam. If yours are spots and not fogs then they've deffo been wired wrongly.
