That dreaded MFA 99.9 MPG fault !!

Is it often the fault of the little alloy gizmo at the rear of the clocks, where the vacuum pipe feeds from, that cause this fault and if so is it the same as the one found on MK2 K-Jet clocks ?  :dontknow:

I don't think the Mk2 G55 unit is directly compatible with earlier versions of the instrument cluster although there has been a suggestion  it could be adapted. Some of the reasons why it is difficult to adapt are detailed in a long 10 page post on "the 99.9mpg problem" under "electrics" - need to search back a couple of months.  This area needs more work …. I think the fault is in the processor not the G55 but I well could be mistaken.
