Starter motor

Hi guys

Having problems identifying what goes on what connector as im using a 1300 loom on a 1.8gti motor (Running on carbs)

Do you have a better pic? A C and D are so blurry I can't even tell what is there! I think (due to poor pic quality) that B is the M8 (13mm nut) thread, if so then the main 16mm2 red lead which is about a foot long, and directly connected to the battery, goes on here.

The only other connection is a 4mm2 red/black wire, which is connected by a female 6.3mm spade on the wire, to a male spade on the starter motor.

There will also be a lead (or maybe two) from the big terminal on the starter motor to the alternator.

The nuts are the same size on mine, ive uploaded a better pic, I know the connector is broken

How are you going to get round the broken connector? Now I can see it, the main connection is the other one, since one is connected to an earth strap between the solenoid and starter motor body.
