Starter motor issue!!

Am trying to get my car back running after the resto but my new starter isn't turning I've connected all the wire back up but it don't turn the fly wheel is it clicking across into the flywheel thou, any help?

I've got the 2 spade connection plug in just using that picture for reference, the earth strap off the battery I have connected to the body then the gearbox mount, is that right? Is the any other earths?

What's the battery voltage at rest, and while turning the car to start position on the ignition switch?

Is my earth strap in the right place? Should the be anymore earths under the bonnet?

earth strap is ok, but have you made sure to clean all the paint off that bracket around the hole? otherwise not much hope of a good electrical contact

need to clean off the paint between bracket and gearbox too

been messing tonight and the earth is the problem, need to clear more paint off and hopefully she will start then,
