speedo help

I have a late cab and the speedo cable needed changing so striped out the clocks etc to find out that somone has bodged them up with super glue and card board!!! I have been given a set of clocks from an early model they are the same size and have a simalar lay out, the only difference i can see is where my temp gauge is on the originals there is a mpg gauge on the spare set.will they fit and work?
