Small problem - yet massively annoying

The needle on the MPH clock is lose and wobbles when i go above 10MPH.

It is really annoying. Can somone advise?

I would say a replacement speedo cable should sort

Meh, I have this irritating problem, the speedo wobbles and 'ticks' too. I've just fitted a brand new cable and drive cog from GSF so lord knows what it could be. Maybe the speedo mechanism gets worn?

All the parts of the dash are modular so you can easily swap in a replacement speedo dial and see if that cures it.

mine wobbles up to 30 on the clocks - i dont look at what speed im doing when it wobbles.. as 30mph = 40mph on the clocks reset needle is 105 - gotta love having private land available

I didnt understand that either. I still havent fixed it, I am scared to start takign the dash apart. Anyone lese done it to stop the wobble....????

Don't worry about taking the dash apart it's like mecano. Good old cars! My cable from GSF isn't great I admit, the clip is a little lose and it fell out of the clocks last week. I've now managed to seat it firmly but the needle still wobbles. Oh well, my parents Laguna does it and it's 5 years old so perhaps we'll just have to live with it on a 20yr old car

I'd love to just live with it, but it annoys the hell out of me.

I am gonna have to get it sorted somehow. May try and source the part from somone else then if GSF 1 is poo.

mine wobbles but ive had a new cable and drive gear.  Mine also over reads, getting worse and worse as you get faster, untill the needle gets over the 12 o clock position then gets even worse, which makes me think the spring in the needle is weak.  When Im doing 80ish the clock is reading 115mph!

Does anybody know if you can still get a speedo module? Maybe a MK2 fits?

I have to go by 30mph is 1500rpm in 4th every time I go through a goverment cash generator!!
