Simple question - stereo blanking plate!
Hi all.
Just a really simple question .. hope someone can help.
I recently moved my cassette/radio from the dash into the centre console, as it made the dash look too busy and the stereo was getting so hot in the dash.
It does look better but I'm having trouble finding the correct VW blanking plate for the stereo. I've bought a few but they don't fit.
Does anyone have a picture or part number of the correct plate I should be looking for, or even know where I might be able to find one easily?
Many thanks!
Danny

I'm guessing you're talking Series II cars in which case I believe (But can stand to be corrected!) that they didn't have a blanking plate as such, more of a cubby instead…
There may well be variations on a theme but this particular one is part # 321 857 233

Wow that was quick, thanks so much!
That would make sense as the VW plates I've tried just didn't work .. look-wise or fit-wise.
I reckon that would look great!
Ebay time .. many thanks again, much appreciated.
