Reverse Light Switch

Hi Guys

I'm trying to obtain a reverse light switch for a 1982 3-Door GTi Mark 1 (DX) engine.
Part No:-  191919823

My garage tells me these are now obsolete !

GSF do them too.

Probably the large one for 5th and reverse gear switch - DX=MFA usually

you can fix your old switch by spliting it and carefully dismantling and cleaning allthe parts. Take out a spring out of a throw away pen and cut in half  then replace old rusty springs and reassemble

Its an old thread but it may assist you. I think the garage is right when they say that the switch is obsolete, as you'll see from the thread!!!  :wink:
