Rev Counter For Golf Cabby 1.3 1986
Hey guys
Sorry if you have all been asked this before, but i couldnt find the answer through searching. i have a Golf Cabby 1.3 1986 and it has the standard clocks i.e. time and speed but i really wanna put a rev counter in there. is this possible??? Im thinking just take the clocks out of a GTI and put them in? is the wiring already set up? or is there some to do? any help, or links to where i can find out would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Easiest way is to fit a seperate rev counter. It is quite literally two wires to make it work. There will be a few more for relays and lights and stuff should you go that route, but the rev counter should come with a simple wiring diagram.

Rev counter
If you get a set of clocks from another golf get one without the trip computer/mpg gauge, Say out of a gl or a cl,you should beable to plug it straight in and it should work.My mate had a basic 1.1 with just fuel/temp gauges ,done the swap and it all worked fine. The loom must have the revcounter wire already in there.

Virtually everywhere will sell you a rev counter, well any parts suppliers anyway. Just have a look local to yourself. Even Halfords sell them I belive?
