Replacement fuse panel connector
I managed to pin point the problem to a lack of power to the fuel pump. Tracing the wires back to the connector on the fuse pnl the plug wasn't in the best condition. There were alot of pins corroded and the temp on one of the wires had started melting the insulation.
As a newcomer to the scene I was lookin for a bit of advice. I'm presuming the connectors aren't made any more so how do I get my hands on another one? I'd like to re-terminate the existing wires but don't know how to get the same pins and whether its a special tool to crimp them. Suppose the other option is to try find a second-hand plug with the wires still inserted and simply splice the the existing loom. Ideally the idea of re-terminating will look far better but how practical is it nowadays?
Really appreciate any advice or contacts for sourcing parts. Hope everyone has a good wkend!

but if one of the wires is getting hot and melting the insulation there must be a fault some where, sort that out first.

I'll dive into the Yellow Pages, thought the connector might be a more specialist VW part rather than a widely used standard item
Thanks for the help
