Radio interferance solutions ???
Just reading through my Autodata Car Repair Manual Golf/Jetta
and on page 196 it mentions solutions to interferance on standard fit radios by fitting a 1 mfd. capacitor to the coil and a 3 mfd. capacitor to the alternator, not sure what they are ??? Has anybody fitted these, any recommendations or pictures please much apprecieted and did it work

No need for all that, if your radio is giving off that wining sound when the car is running then just make sure to get another good earth wire,

.
Earth from battery to body wich can get corroded over time and the earth wire(negative) from the deck.

what autodata suggests is small capacitors across the supply lines you sometimes see them on motors as the on/off of the coil creates interference. They work but as autodata suggests you might not notice any difference after a certain point.
