polo temp sender wiring
ok so after reading through all the posts the red and yellow wire is for the temp sender???
so if this goes to one the wires on the sender what do i do with the other?

The Polo sensor is mounted in a plastic thermostat housing so it can't earth through the it's own body, you have to add the earth wire. I'm sure my spare wire was brown though. As Chudd is pointing out, the Golf just has one wire to the sensor. Are you sure you're talking about the temp sensor and not the oil pressure. I'm sure one of those is yellow.

Mmm... something like that. When I attached the Polo connector to the Polo sender, I looped the earth wire back to the engine earth on the lifting eye above the dizzy.
