Please Help?
Hiya all, First of all when i start the car when its been standing overnite every thing works fine?? but when i start it up again after driving it for 10 mins the rev counter doesent rev propa, the temp gauge goes up causing the red light to come on, and when i have the blowers on the fan belt squeals like a little bich! also the radiator fan does not kick in which scares me a little
but as i said before it all works fine when i start the car cold?? I have cleaned the earth cable which is connected to the rocker cover and cleaned as many earth points that i can find. I have had every fuse and relay out to check for damage or corrosion but all looks well???? If any one can help then it would be much appreciated. Thank you for yor time in reading this.

check battery terminal connections and condition of battery.
fan belt squeals when blowers are on because its working harder probably just loose belt but would be worth changing it if you dont know how old it is.
remove plug from radiator and with ignition on, put a piece of wire in the terminals of the plug this will check the wiring is ok and the fan should come on, if the fan does work the rad fan swithch is faulty if not its wiring fuse or a relay.
also check that water is circulating properly as it could be overheating as the temp gauge is saying that, thermostat could be stuck feel how hot the top and bottum hoses are coming from rad.

Ign doesn't need to be on to test rad fan, its live all the time so watch your fingers when working on the engine as it could go off at any time.

Al the hoses should get hot, if it doesn't then the coolant isn't circulating.

its probably the impeller parts of the pump rotted away or the bearing gone, pumps are cheap so is the stat and it makes sense to do them both at the same time
I would do this first as if the water dont circulate properly the rad switch might not be getting to the correct temp to work as the system is static not flowing as it should, the rad switch is cheap enough too so it might be worth gettin one of those whilst your there, it saves the problem occuring later and/or eliminates it from your enquirys now so to speak
get a new fan belt too, the way i check for correct fitting and tension on the belt is by twisting the belt left and right with thumb and fingers when its fitted, there should be some flex so the "teeth" are able to be seen when you flex left and right but not too much, dont forget to check it after a week or so as the belts do give little when worn in a bit
