PLEASE HELP !! :( Complete car re-wire

Right swapping everything out of the golf for a complete set of new looms

and blade fuses … only thing is … i cant remebmer where the engine plugs goto etc ?


any ideas ? PLEASE HELP lol

where did you get the new looms from

Do you have a wiring diagram with the colour codes of the wires?

that would indeed be a whoops moment

do the plugs that go into the fues box only fit into one position or do they multi fit ?

right , let me explain my situation and where i am now

my car, mk1 golf 1.5 …. the previous owner put a 1.8 GTI engine in it …… BUT … knew that if he was to use the engine loom from a GTI he would have to swap everything … so by the looks of it he just modified the loom from the 1.5 so the engine would run … but the petrol / temp / rpm didnt work …



so, im in the process of doing this … ENTIRE ELECTRIC SWAP

including the fuse box lol (from the old skool bullets)

everything goes together …


right … what i've done so far…


taken out the loom from the engine / dash and rear light loom


installed (kinda) engine loom ( its in position anyway … not sure where a few things go though

erm. .. plugged most of the looms into the fuse box .. HOWEVER .. im lost when it comes to the random plugs and earthing

RUBJONNY is being a huge help with this … he knows where most things go

hmm… im lost this car was made before i was born lol

Just thought you meant NEW looms as you mentioned as I need a brand new loom as my wiring blocks have melted and don't know where to get one made
