Petrol Gauge not Working
About 2 weeks ago the Petrol gauge on my 83 GTI stopped working so i've been meaning to get around to having a look but when i got in the car yesterday morning it started working until today when it stopped again.
Has anyone had this problem or knw where to start looking as i hate woking on electrics on cars :evil:

Sticky sender unit arm?
Its under the back seat below a screw on flap (3 screws?)
Or the wires from it
Otherwise wire at dash connector?
Just thinking out loud
Unlikely to be gauge if it does it intermittently

I have just had the petrol tank replaced :dontknow:

In that case make sure it is free to float and not fouling on anything inside the tank,or take it back and let the people who changed the tank do it
