Oil Light?

Hi, I have had to fit new speedo cluster to my 90' Cab 8v carb….but the clocks fitted looked older than the knackered ones after fitting the clocks the oil light remains on above 900rpm but if it falls below it goes off, I know its the polarity of the wiring but where do i start. :wink:
