Nothing working on dash!
Hi, i have a 1988 clipper convertible and none of the gages on the dash work, speedo, rev counter, fuel etc. Nor do any of the lights, e.g indicator flasher etc
My guess is a fuse but don't have a clue what all the fuses are for, is there anyway i can get a diagram so that i can identify the fuses in the fuse panel under the dash?
Thanks
Mat

I think Fuse no1 does the dash - not 100% sure. I'd pull each fuse and inspect it and replace any that are blown - If they blow again then you've got to dig into the wiring to find out where the fault is. If the radio been taken out recently then check the power wire isn't shorting 8O

The handbooks for both my cars say fuse no 1 is for the radiator fan and don't specifically say which fuse does the dash. The closest one I can see to the dash would be no.3 - Cigarette lighter, radio, clock, interior light. It should be rated 15A.
As crazyquiff says, check them all and then the wiring. You might have to take the dash out and check out the wiring to the dash itself. There is a voltage stabilizer that sometimes goes but I'm not sure what happens when its kaput, it could be the cause. I think you can pick them up from GSF.

Try the rocker cover earth strap that runs into the loom. If it comes off then the MFA, indicators, headlamps, rev counter and pretty much everything else goes up the creak…an easy place to start before pulling the dash out.
