Mk2 Clocks into Mk1 GTI

How easy is it to fit Mk2 clocks (two plugs and one centre screw fixing) into a Mk 1 GTI (single plug plus little one for MFA, two screw fisxings to sides).
Thinking of doing this to try to get my MFA working properly :roll:
Somebody must have done this.I was thinking of keeping the Mk 2 Plug connections and connecting all the wires via chocolate blocks…seems easyish…or am I heading for nightmare city?
