Main beam warning light problem - ideas??

Hi, main beam lights are working, got power coming to the warning light but led won't light up - any ideas or places I can send to get it tested? Dont think its as simple as changing the led, Cheers, Joe

not 100% sure but i dont think that the light is an led it may be a buld with a blue coverover it.  only saying that as i dont think blue leds were invented at the time these was made. but i would suspect that a led would fit ok if you knew how to solder one in, it would have to be corect voltage thou, most likly 12volts?! hope this helps and  let me know how you get on! stu

hi mate, i think hes on about the orange one in the dash?

yes this is an led and they are pretty generic.. if you can get a reading off the back of the led and its not lighting up then yes you will need to replace it…

i would say if your handy with a soldering iron then its an easy task.. if not when leave it and live without it :P

booze and boredom, the greatest mix :)

looks like a common fault, mine don't work properly either.

Projekt Frustration :

White 1991 Clipper. Lowered over polished zender rims, Single 40 dellorto on lynx manifold, kent cam, full stainless 'zorst / manifold, powerflex bushed and braced. Not the fastest car, but sounds super nice!

Still going after 12 years… never said it was a quick fix! Time is not my friend.
