loom help urgent

Hi i have an 82 mk1 golf clipper convertible running a 1.8 8v carb engine ,my dash loom recently caught fire and the headlight wirirng etc is a bit messy,It has a series 2 loom and clocks i was just wondering if a series 2 1.1 loom would work as a replacement as i have seen one for sale and want my car fixed asap any advice will be much appreciated.

Light switch on dashboard probably caused the fire, ive had th same problem in th past
