Locating front speakers?

Ok guys need some ideas here.

Basically ive got some some 6x9's in the back, and a  sony MP3 Cd headunit at the moment.

No front speakers though, so want to get some in.

Now, I have mint and unmolested (sp?) door cards and dont want to be chopping them up really, so,  can i put some coaxials in the dash somewhere underneath and hidden? Will the rattle or should I just put them in the door?

Why don't you source some genuine MK1 door pockets with speaker covers ?
You'd just get 6x4's in them but you'd keep the original MK1 look and you can get decent JBL's in that size.

Did think about that, wasnt sure on how much the cards would be, if i did that you think i could get these in there?

why not behind them pocket thiings under the dash? or on the side of the footwells, cant remember if ther would be enough clutch clearence though...will have to look see!
