keeps going flat! grrrr
Is it just the battery? Charge it up, doesnt matter wether i drive around or not, its dead a few days later. Before i fork out on a new bat, anything else it could be, bad earth? The battery is about 5 years old.

Sounds like the battery's on its way out. Other possibility is the alternator, but in this case the battery should not drop its charge if the car is parked up unused for the week.

check with meter that altenator is charging the batt. then disconect batt for agood few hours check again then check voltage that will let you know if its a bad earth or a bad batt

If it isn't the alternator or dying battery, it could be your alarm/immobiliser if you've got one). I know my reasonably new battery goes flat in 4-5 days if I don't use the car.

yes it should fluxuate on the rise or stay stable it should not drop a few volts
