Ive been thinking is this an after market thing i have or is it standard?

Dont ask what your club can do for you, but what can you do for your club?

I've got a foxguard immobiliser key (looks like a large headphone plug) which I could do with a spare, its the same system as I had fitted in a old MK2 GTi but not sure if they were fitted by the VW dealers or not.

I believe foxguard is no more but I've heard these guys mentioned in other threads and forums for immobiliser/alarm spares etc.

Problem is though you'll probably need the "key" number on the original fitting paper work in order for them to get the right one.

I've not made any enquiries myself yet though.  Good luck.  let us know how you get on.

Cheers for that mine looks like a plastic disc which has to be close to the ignition switch i think it must be after market i will have to look at other cars of the same age as mine to see if they have the same.
