i have only 1 immobiliser fob I'm wondering where i could get a spare one and how is it programed? the other thing is if i cant get a new one is there a way round staring the engine by bye-passing the immobiliser if you lose the fob?? Ive been thinking is this an after market thing i have or is it standard?

I've got a foxguard immobiliser key (looks like a large headphone plug) which I could do with a spare, its the same system as I had fitted in a old MK2 GTi but not sure if they were fitted by the VW dealers or not.
I believe foxguard is no more but I've heard these guys mentioned in other threads and forums for immobiliser/alarm spares etc.

Problem is though you'll probably need the "key" number on the original fitting paper work in order for them to get the right one.
I've not made any enquiries myself yet though. Good luck. let us know how you get on.
