How do I get this off steering column???

Hi all,

How do I get the top bit off the steering column to remove the lock housing, been yanking at it this afternoon but cannot get it off!!!

Try dropping the steering column down a bit by undoing the bolts holding it to the cross beam, that should give you the clearance needed.

put some heat on it plumers torch should do it
the heat will expand it and with a couple knocks should pop off  

if you only need to remove it to say change the ignition lock, undo the upper ign lock housign bolt then undo and remove the UJ bolt at the bottom. Then the whole column will come out with ign lock housing attached

Cheers for the help guys! I took the bolt out of the bottom and took the whole column out  

New ignition switch went in and now have working lights and wipers
