HELP!!! Over enthusiastic Wipers
Hi everyone,
If some has a photographic memory or a haynes manual handy can they have a look and tell me which fuse it is on an '83 GTI for the front wipers? There must be a short somewhere cos they don't turn off but taking fuse out seems like a decent temporary measure until I can have a proper poke around.
THanks
Matt

I had this prob, turned out my wiper relay was full of water! (a night on a rad solved it). Thinks its second from top right (the relay that is!)

I was damn impressed actually, windscreen wipers kept going all day 25ish miles and it's not even been that wet. I've had the relay out and it was wet wet wet. ManicGTI I think you've hit the nail on the head. Where does the water leak in around there are there any trick fixes that'll stop it?
thanks guys

Usually comes in down the bonnet release cable & drips ont othe fuse box. Check the grommet and replace if necessary or get some silcone sealant around it.
