HELP! Coil replacement! Wiring Connections askew!
Hey guys,
I am kicking myself - have just removed the wires from my Bosch Blue coil, but now not sure how they should be connected to the positive and negative terminals on the new coil. The car is a 1978 1.5 (JB) GLS with rev counter and traditional points ignition.
I have 4 wires to three spade connectors - a green one which runs down to the distributor, a black/red one and a white/purple & black wire sharing the same spade connector.
I need to know which to connect to the positive terminal (15), and which to connect to the negative terminal (1)! I followed advice given to someone else with a similar issue, and succeeded only in melting one of the wires!
Thanks in advance!

Thanks John! Tip top advice - coil wired up correctly, a bit of cranking, and the beast fired up! Amazing little engine, given that it has remained dormant for 28 of its (nearly) 34 years!
