Headlight Problem

Ok, anyone know how to solve this??? When I push the brake my drivers headlight comes on. I've checked all the bulbs which are working fine, any ideas?

Yo Devilin

Usual cause is a bad (as in no) earth for your brake light bulbs.  If there is a way to to earth, the wiring will find the easiest way (lowest path of resistance) to it  (eg via the headlight wiring to the H/L bulb filament which then goes to the required earth).  Try cleaning up the earth connection in the LHS rear of the boot.  The hex head screw should be "persuaded"out with copious amounts of dinitrol otherwise you'll just rip its head off and have to re-tap the the screw hole.  For starters, take a fresh piece of wire from the rear light fitting to a good earth point.

Start by changing the stop and tail bulb . If you break and the side or headlights come on power is being sent via the side light to the easiest path available , your side or headlights . All from a faulty bulb .
Golden rule with any electrical fault -Start simple- then delve deeper …Chow….

Whip both the stop lights out of the rear holders , does it still light up the side lights when you press the brake pedal ?

you have either got the stop/tail light bulb in wrong or the wrong bulbs fitted by the sounds of it
